Nancy “Nanny” Carol Morrison, 79 of Clarksburg passed away on December 12, 2018 at her residence. She was born May 20, 1939 in Clarksburg, the daughter of the late Caroll N and Beulah Floyd George.
Nancy graduated from Bridgeport High School. She retired as a cook from Robert C Bryd High School with over thirty years of service with the Harrison County Board of Education. She was Methodist by faith. Her hobbies included knitting blankets and household items, gardening and cooking from scratch.
Nancy is survived by three grandchildren, Melissa and James McManus, Joshua and Cassandra Kacinec and Bailee Kacinec all of Clarksburg; four great grandchildren, Aydin McManus, Aubriana Kacinec, Brennen McManus, Jaxson Kacinec; one sister, Betty Bartlett, Gatesville, TX.
In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, William “Sonny” Morrison; two daughters, Tammy Von McGinnis on December 24, 2013 and Debra Lynn Kacinec on January 9, 2005.
Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Dr., Clarksburg, on Monday, December 17, 2018 from 2-7pm; Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 11:00 am with Reverend Richard Settles presiding. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
