Elmer L. Davis joined his dear wife with Our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the age of 92. He was born on October 30, 1926 in Advance, Missouri to Frank and Ophia Davis. He is preceded in death by his 5 brothers and 5 sisters.
After graduating from Central High School in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Elmer served in the US Navy. He married DeLaine Miles in 1949 and they started their family 5 years later. In 1978, Elmer and DeLaine transferred to San Antonio where he retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after 35 years of service. Throughout his lifetime, Elmer enjoyed barbequing, bowling, camping and boating with friends and family, dominoes, and group bible study. He especially loved travelling the United States in his motor home with his beloved DeLaine.
Elmer is survived by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
