Debra Susan Blackwell (60) of Bloomington, Indiana, passed away in her home and met Jesus face to face on 2/12/2018. She was born to Harold E. Blackwell and Eva June (Axsom-Blackwell) Baugh on September 20, 1957.
She is survived by her mother, Eva June Baugh, and her siblings, David (Janet) Blackwell, Maridean (Ron) Siscoe, John (Connie) Blackwell and Sabra Ann (Mike) Stark, a step-sister Ann (David) Jones, and a step brother, Terry Simpson.
She also had multiple nieces and nephews. Susan attended Sherwood Oaks Christian Church and was a lifelong member and graduated from Bloomington South High School. Susan was known for her smile and upbeat spirit. She had many friends. She loved family gatherings. She looked forward to the "girl's trips" each year with her mom and sisters, where laughter was a given. She was an avid IU and Colts fan and she loved animals. Susan had a big heart. She loved helping people and she worked for years as a certified nursing assistant and transport aid at Bloomington Hospital. She was loved dearly and will never be forgotten.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 19, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home and Crematory, 4155 S. Old State Road 37, Bloomington. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions can be made in her honor at a charity of choice.
