Clyde “Mike” Jack Foster Jr., 72, of Aspers, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2018, in the Gettysburg Hospital.

He was born Sept. 21, 1946 in Carlisle, Pa., to the late Clyde Jack Foster Sr. and Janet Mae (Hipple) Foster.

Mike retired from the former Carlisle Tire & Wheel and was a member of the Idaville United Brethren Church. He was a United States Army veteran. An avid hunter, fisherman and golfer. Mike also enjoyed camping and dirt track racing. A big playful kid himself, he dearly loved his children and grandchildren, often giving horsey rides, wrestling and allowing jumping on the bed.

He is survived by his wife Lois Ann (Rhinehart) Foster; and five children, Lori Ann Doudrick (C. James Jr.) of Aspers, Jonathan J. Foster (JeNelle) of Mechanicsburg, Jeffrey E. Foster (Dawn) of Aspers, Christopher R. Foster of Yuma, Ariz., and Jeannean M. Galloway (Jay) of Gardners. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Vivian Martin of Newville and Harry Foster of Olathe, Kansas.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. in the Idaville United Brethren Church, 3590 Carlisle, Road, Gardners, PA 17324, with Rev. Stuart Johns officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery with honors presented by the Cumberland County Honor Guard.
