Janice Marie McDonald, age 65 of Sykesville, died Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Sun Valley Homestead in Sykesville. Born December 9, 1953 in Olney, MD, she was the daughter of the late Dee Wesley and Helen Louise Hicks Wilder. She was the wife of the late Clayton Marvin McDonald who died December 5, 2018.

Janice had been a Certified Nursing Assistant at Springfield Hospital Center for many years. She later had worked for Visiting Angels. She was a loving and caring friend to everyone and loved her pets Emmylou, Oliver, Chloe and Sadiemae.

Surviving are her brother Wayne Wilder and his companion Barbara Hoffnagel, aunt Ann Hicks, dear friends Linda Healey, Diane Kirk, and Alice Wolfe, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 11:30 am at Liberty Baptist Cemetery in Lisbon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
