FUNERAL 2 TUESDAY FOR MRS. BERTHA HOLDREDGE,
LONG TIME LOMA RESIDENT

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Martin chapel for Mrs. Bertha Sims Holdredge, long time resident of Loma, who died at 9:15 p.m. Friday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. W. G. Girvin, Flagler.

Mrs. Holdredge was the widow of Himan Holdredge, who died in February 1951. She had lived with the daughter since the death of Mr. Holdredge.

The Rev. C. A. Burkholder will officiate and pallbearers will be Tony Brach, John Brach, Boyd Bittle, John Greer, Frank Killion, and Ben Vanlandingham. Burial will be in Municipal Cemetery.

Bertha Sims was born August 9, 1877 at Smickburg , Pa., the daughter of Thomas and Rebecca Sims. She moved to Loma from the eastern slope 48 years ago.

The deceased was a member of First Presbyterian Church of this city.

She was married to Himan Holdredge May 23, 1928 at Colorado Springs. They engaged in farming and raising livestock in the lower valley until moving to Orchard Mesa in 1948.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. W. G. Girvin, Mrs. Linn Laybourn, Flagler, Mrs. D. R. Huntley, Montrose, and Mrs. V. R. Ahrens, Grand Junction; two sons, Frank Travis, Flagler, and Chester Travis, Santa Ana, Calif.; four stepdaughters, Mrs. Florence McCallister, Mrs. Truston McCallister, Mrs. Truston McCallister, and Mrs. Fred Holybee, Paonia, and Mrs. Roxie Ungaro, Dragerton, Utah; three stepsons, Fred Holdredge, Norwood, Leslie Holdredge, Billings, Mont.; and Maurice Holdredge, Denver; three sisters, Mrs. Fannie Moffet, Akron, Mrs. Josephine Egan, Lamar, and Mrs. Maude Reiff, Salina, Kan.; and several grandchildren.
