Julie was a graduate of Danville High School and the University of Kentucky where she earned a degree in business.
She began her career in banking with Kentucky Bankers Association and continued her career with TSI Software and Accounting USA. She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority, the Louisville Boat Club and the Second Presbyterian Church.
Julie is survived by her brother James Taylor Hughes III; niece, Ellie Hughes; uncle, C. Waitman Taylor (Patricia); aunt, Dr. Yvonne Taylor; loving cousins Frank Taylor, Paul Taylor, Bill Taylor, John Taylor, and Margaret Taylor Kramer.
Julie also had a special bond with her sister-in-law Jennifer and her two children Holt and Elizabeth Reid.
Julie's laughter and her contagious love for life, her beautiful smile, personality and good cheer endeared her to all she met. She lived her often stated priorities throughout life- faith, family and friends.
She especially treasured being with her family for celebrations at the ancestral family home and farm in Hancock County.
Memorial Service 12noon, Saturday, December 15th at Second Presbyterian Church Chapel, 3701 Old Brownsboro Rd., with private burial at Cave Hill Cemetery.
