Vicki E. James, 63, of Sterling, VA, died on Feb. 15, 2015.
Vicki, the daughter of Norma J. Myers and the late Dennie W. Myers, Jr., and the late Lewis James, is survived by her husband of 16 years, David Barber. She was close to her sister Patty Jividen of Frederick, MD, and her family, husband Greg and children Grace and Tom Jividen.

She was predeceased by her brother, Gerald Myers.

Vicki was a 1969 graduate of Parkersburg High School in WV. Upon graduation, she joined the Central Intelligence Agency. She retired as an Information Management Officer 43 years later. Vicki was an avid reader and enjoyed science fiction and collecting memorabilia. She had a close friendship with actor Thom Christopher and was president of his fan club. Other interests included collecting hand-made jewelry and artwork painted by close friends and caring for her Cornish Rex cats.

Vicki was very spiritual and had a strong belief in the afterlife. She was often reading, discussing, and sharing books on the subject. A celebration of Vicki's life is being planned. Friends interested in attending should contact one of Vicki's family members for details.
