Otis William Carter, 67, of Abilene, passed away Monday, March 3, 2013.

Visitation will be Friday evening from 5 – 7 p.m. at North’s Funeral Home, 242 Orange Street. Services will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at North’s Memorial Chapel.

Otis was born on May 16, 1946 to Edward and Dorothy Morris Carter in Abilene, Texas.

He graduated from Clyde High School in 1966. He served in the United States Navy from 1966 to 1969. Otis retired in 2010 and traveled all over the western states enjoying what he loved to do the best; Gamble.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Willis E. Carter, Sunny Carter, and Nelson Hector.

He is survived by his wife of forty-three years, Juanita Miranda Carter; one son, Christopher William Carter of Comanche, Texas; two sisters: Eva Carter of Llano, Texas and Debra Hector of Cross Plains, Texas: and many nieces and nephews.
