Abe was born on February 8, 1937 in Sparta, Tennessee, the son of James H and Elizabeth Daniels Shubert.
He served as an E5 in the U.S. Navy and the Vietnam War. He was a welder/fabricator at Interlake Steel in Pontiac, Illinois.
He has four surviving children, Janet Page, Clancey Shubert, Martha Klein Slate and David Shubert and sister, Jean Williamson of Saybrook, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by two children, Abraham and Katherine Shubert; three brothers,James Shubert, Eli Thomas Shubert and Carl Shubert and two sisters, Aline Hittle and Rose Mounts.
