Regina (Milstead) Ross passed away on June 7, 2018, at Medstar Southern Maryland Hospital in Clinton, MD. She was born on July 6, 1933, in Chicamuxen, MD, the daughter of Maud I. (Hart) and Irving Milstead, Sr.
Regina attended Charles County public schools, and graduated from Pomonkey High School in 1952. She was employed as a Telephone Operator/Emergency Dispatcher at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Washington D.C. She retired from there after 27 years of service. Regina was also a member of Alexandria United Methodist Church in Indian Head, MD.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Cline Ross; one son, Tracy Allen Ross; one grandson, Stephen Demetrius Matthews; three sisters, Naomi Lloyd, Victoria Washington, and Thelma Virginia Bond; and three brothers, Carroll, Royce, and Irving Milstead, Jr.
She is survived by three sons, Terrance D. (Mildred) and Charles C. (Anita) Ross, and Donald W. Milstead; four daughters, Ginger D. (Calvin) Davis, Sonya M. (John) Pollock, Regina R. (John) Kelly, and Bridgette I. Ross; one daughter-in-law, Allison Ross; thirteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two sisters, Ethel Thomas and Ruth Simmons; three sisters-in-law, Marlene Ross, Bessie Ross, and Donza Milstead; and many other relatives and friends.
