Lynn MacArthur Thompson, 76, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away Monday, December 10, 2018 at the Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Center in Winchester, Virginia.
A funeral service will be held Friday, December 14, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home with Sammy Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in the Willis Chapel Cemetery in Huntly, Virginia.
Mr. Thompson was born November 28, 1942 in Rappahannock County, Virginia, son of the late Douglas Gordon Thompson Sr. and Virginia Williams Thompson.
He was a 1961 graduate of John S. Mosby Academy in Front Royal, Virginia, a Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Air Force and a member of the Giles B. Cook Post 53 of the American Legion.
Surviving are three sisters, Dolores Thompson of Front Royal, Betty Zombor of Winchester, and Doris Paoni of Front Royal; and one brother, James E. Thompson of Front Royal.
Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Douglas Gordon Thompson Jr.
The family will receive friends Friday, December 14 from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
