Margaret A. Koch , 64, of Varna, IL, formerly of Pana passed away Monday, December 10, 2018 at Unity Point Health Methodist in Peoria. She was born November 20, 1954 in Pana, the daughter of Charles & Mary Ann (Klee) Hinton.
Margaret was a graduate of Pana High School, Class of 1973 and a former member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Pana. She worked as a dietary aide and enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting, four-wheeling and camping. She also enjoyed keeping up with family & friends through Facebook.
Margaret married Melvin Koch on March 24, 2001 at Kitchell Park in Pana and he survives in Varna, IL along with children: Alicia Matlock, Pana, IL; Janetta (Damian) Feeny, Highland, IL; Tracy (Spencer) Swanson, Vancouver, WA; Jenny (Cory) Hannon, Varna, IL; Christine (Loren) Hunt, Toluca, IL; Jessie (Jimmy) Parrott, Lacon, IL; Jacob Koch, Varna, IL; father, Charlie Hinton, Pana, IL; grandchildren: Trenton White, Kayle White, Lucas Feeny, Evan Feeny, Brooke Hannon, Caden Hannon, Hannah Schumacher, Matt Schumacher, Riley Parrott and brother, Glen (Pam) Hinton, Decatur, IL.
She was preceded in death by her mother & sister, Goldie Beck.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 14, 2018 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Darren Beck officiating. Inurnment will at a later date in Mound Cemetery, Pana. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 p.m. until service time in the funeral home.
