Mildred "Joann" Forshey, 85 of Mineral Wells, WV passed away December 10, 2018 at the Camden Clark Medical Center.
She was born in Elizabeth, WV. the daughter of the late Carl I. and Lovie R. Roach Phillips.
She was a 1952 graduate of Wirt County High School. She loved children and had babysat for many families over the years, she was a loyal, supportive and devoted Mother and Grandmother. She was a faithful Christian and longtime member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Mineral Wells.
She is survived by her children, Michael Morton and Connie Gaston of Parkersburg; Vicki Forshey, Jon Forshey (Tammy J.) and Beth Cremeans (Jimmie) all of Mineral Wells and Darlene Witschy (Al) of Independance, KY. Nine grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren. Her sister, Wilma Ellison of Parkersburg and her brothers, Kenneth Phillips (Sue) of Washington and Billy Phillips of Lubeck.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Forshey in 2015.
Graveside services will be Thursday at 3:00pm at the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Mineral Wells with Reverend Rod Blanchard officiating.
