Chief Warrant Officer 3, Terry Gene Cole Sr., 71, died peacefully in his Nacogdoches, Texas home on November 30, 2018. He was born January 4, 1947, in Oliphant, Pennsylvania.

CW3 Cole was a decorated Army veteran who served two tours of duty in Vietnam, one as a military policeman and the second as a airplane and helicopter (Chinook) pilot. Among his service decorations, he received a Bronze Star and Air Medal for his heroism and outstanding achievement while serving in Vietnam.

After serving our country, Terry continued his love of flying with ERA Helicopters of Lake Charles, LA until his retirement. Post retirement, his love of Nacogdoches County, TX found him happily living the country life with friends and family. He was a proud and active member of the East Texas Patriot Guard Riders as well as the Nacogdoches Harley Owners Group.

He is survived by his son, Terry Jr. of Altamonte Springs, FL; his stepson John of Sulphur, LA; his adopted daughter, Cissy, and adopted son, Marcus, both of Center, TX. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dianne; and step-daughter, Tina.

A memorial service will take place at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2018.
