Elder Carl Adams, Jr., 79, also lovingly known as "Daddy", "the Turkey Man" and "J R" passed on Monday, December 3, 2018. Homecoming services are 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the Old West Florida Enrichment Center, with burial in Southside Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is 3-7 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE 850-942-1950. A native of Gastonia, NC and an underground (manholes and water lines) utilities foreman, he was an Elder at Kingdom Covenant Ministries. Elder Adams had worked at Capital City Pre-Cast; McNeil; and Blankenship & Lee. He was widely known for cooking deep-fried turkeys. Treasuring his love are his wife, Elder Laura M. Adams; daughters, Serenity and Carla Adams; sons, Parise (Mattie), William, Carlton, Patrick and Christopher Adams; two grandchildren; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
