Frank Every, 79 of 1214 Dudley Ave., retired carpenter and contractor, died January 3 in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital Center. He was born and educated in the Town of Shokan. He married Clara Belle Canfield in 1923 in Newburgh. The couple came to Utica shortly afterwards. He was last employed at Griffiss Air Force Base, retiring in 1957. He was a member of Central Methodist Church, Order of Eagles and the Carpenters; Union. Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Mrs. William W. Clary, Jacksonville, Fla.; two sons, William O. Every, Utica, and Wendell F. Every, New Harford, and two sisters, Mrs. Libby Vosburgh, Oeota, ad Mrs. Orpha Horton, Poughkeepsie. The funeral will be at 11 Moday from the Gordon-Friedel Funeral Home with the Rev. William C. Wood Officating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Memorial Park. The Observer Dispatch (Utica, N.Y.) Jan. 4, 1964.
Frank Every was first married to Laura May Canfield on November 30, 1909 in Harpersfield, NY. Laura is cousin to Clara Belle Canfield, Frank's second wife.
