Irene Elaine Roberts
March 8, 1926 - December 7, 2018
Age 92, of Van Buren Township. Died peacefully at Cedar Woods nursing facility early Friday morning, December 7, 2018.
Irene is the beloved wife of George for seventy-four wonderful years; Gary Lee (The late Lori) Roberts of Arizona, Linda (Steve) Price of Willis, Jerry (Linda) Roberts and Douglas Roberts of Mount Pleasant. Mrs. Roberts is also survived by nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A longtime Belleville area resident, Mrs. Roberts worked for many years with the Van Buren School System. She was also an accomplished archer, winning many archery awards while in competition. Irene also enjoyed gardening and spending time with her husband, George and their family. She will be truly missed.
A funeral service has been arranged for 1:00 PM Monday, December 10th in the main chapel of David C. Brown Funeral Home of Belleville.
Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Belleville.
The Roberts family will greet guests from Noon until the time of the service, and Sunday from 4 until 8 PM.
Memorial tributes should be directed to the Disabled American Veterans.
