Jay Hayes, Jr., 76, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Sunday, December 9, 2018, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Rex Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home.
Mr. Hayes was born February 12, 1942, in Tifton, Georgia, to the late Jay & Flossie Wilson Hayes. He worked for Harold Cohen at Cohen’s Department Store and Tri State Sign Company for 35 years. Mr. Hayes later owned and operated Hayes Welding, in Fitzgerald.
