Jay Ross Williams, age 87, passed away peacefully in the early morning of Sunday, 09 December 2018 following a period of declining health. Jay was born in Henrietta, Texas to John and Mildred Callen Williams where he spent his early years later to move to San Diego with his parents. He entered the U.S. Army in 1949 and served in Korea where he received a Purple Heart for injuries sustained in battle. Following his military service Jay began his career in the Aerospace Industry which spanned 50 years as a project engineer for various Aerospace companies. For many years he resided in the bay area of Northern California before retiring to Madera, California in 2004.

In the community of Madera, he was active in the Madera Post 1981 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.



In addition to his parents, Jay was preceded in death by three sons, John James, Jay Jr. and Robert Neal Williams, and several siblings. 

Jay is survived by his wife of 38 years, Loni Gail Williams of Madera; his daughter, Tonya McAllaster of Fresno and his sister, Chance Foley of Golden Valley, AZ.

He is the cherished grandfather of Pepper Williams Logan, and Roberta Williams Brown, and the great grandfather of Zoe, Ivy, Reina, Tristen and Keoni.



Visitation will be on Monday, 17 December 2018 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Jay Chapel, a service will be held on Tuesday, 18 December 2018 at 11:00 A.M. where his life will be celebrated. 



Interment with veteran honors will follow at Arbor Vitae Cemetery in Madera.
