OBIT:

Randy Jenkins, 58, of rural Warren, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 26, 2018 at his home.

Randy Jenkins was born on March 28, 1959 in Warren, MN, the son of James and Florence (Edgar) Jenkins. He was a lifelong resident of the Warren area and he attended Warren Public Schools. Randy was confirmed at Grace United Methodist Church and had perfect attendance at Sunday School (something that he was very proud of and would want everyone to know).

On December 11, 1976, Randy married the love of his life, Jill Elizabeth Smart, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Grand Forks, ND and they made their home in Warren. Randy was a jack of all trades who worked several jobs including over the road truck driver, construction, and farmer. He especially loved farming and he worked at Torgerson Farms until he retired due to health issues. Jill passed away on January 19, 2016.

Randy loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and as a lifelong hunter, enjoyed sharing his passion with them. He liked to garden, be outdoors, and visit with family and friends over a warm cup of coffee or a cold beverage

In 2014, Randy was re-baptized into a deeper relationship with Christ at Harvest Community Church in Warren. Jesus was always important to him, and he wouldn't let anything distract him from his daily devotions. He enjoyed talking with people about the Lord and would hope that even in his passing, he might inspire someone to let Christ change their life like his own had been changed.

Left to mourn his passing are his daughters, Jennifer Garceau of Grand Forks, ND, Jessica Swanson (Jeremiah Anderson) of Warren, MN, Ashley (Paul) Fredrickson of Warren, MN, and Laura (Stephen) Ondrovich of Wichita, KS; grandchildren, Madeline, Noah, Jacson, Rylan, and Alec; siblings, Gary (Alice) Jenkins of Skime, MN, Larry Jenkins of Grand Forks, ND, and Bette (Rick) Solberg of Warren, MN; step-brother, David (Lori) Weber of Warren, MN; many nieces and nephews; former sons-in-law, Joe Garceau and Luke Swanson; and faithful dog, Marley.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Clem Weber; wife, Jill; infant son; brother, Ronald Jenkins; sisters-in-law, Marcie, Connie, Karlene and Linda Jenkins; niece, Heidi Smart and nephews, Bill Wolf and Nathan Moe.
