Darrell Wayne Murphy age 69 of Russellville, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at his home. He was born in Logan County, Kentucky on August 6, 1949 to the late Rufus Edward and Helen Marie (Wilson) Murphy. Darrell attended Post Oak Baptist Church and retired as a Captain with the Russellville Police Department after 25 years of service. He is preceded in death by his two sisters Shirley Lyons and Lou Ella Devine and is survived by his:
Wife Julia Murphy, two sons Adam Murphy (Ann) of Nashville and Darrin Murphy (Christina) of Bowling Green, two daughters Amy Cowan (Mark) of Adairville and Sherry Murphy of Elizabethtown and two granddaughters Polly and Kaylyn.
Funeral services for Darrell Murphy will be conducted Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. in the Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel with Bro. Donnie Blick officiating and burial to follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin Friday from 4:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel and Saturday from 8:00 A.M. until funeral time at 2:00 P.M.
