Darlene Greene, 89, beloved wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother, went to live with our Lord on Thursday, December 6, 2018.
Funeral services will be 11 am Tuesday, December 11th at First Christian Church, 2500 University in Des Moines, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery.
Darlene was born November 16, 1929 in Winterset, Iowa. She worked at Logan Community Center for several years. Darlene was an avid quilter, knitter and loved to read. Her pies were legendary! She was a long time member of First Christian Church of Des Moines, Iowa where she met her husband, Wayne.
She will be missed by her loving daughter: Karen (John) Rotramel; grandchildren, Javier Sanchez, Dylan Mangano and Elijah Rotramel; and great-grandchild, Liliana Sanchez. Darlene was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 50 years, Wayne Greene, Jr. and daughter Malinda Mangano.
