Nora Frances Smith, age 88, of Bardstown Rd., Springfield, died on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at her residence.

Nora was born July 14, 1930 in Washington County.

She was preceded in death by parents, John L. "Jack" Smith in 1939 and Piety Smith in 1991, two brothers, Richard Kent Smith, May 31, 1990 and Jackie Smith, Nov. 23, 1941, two sisters, Betsy Campbell, Sept. 5, 1994 and Patsy Salyer, June 26, 2005 and four brothers-in-law, Earl Campbell, Dickie and James Abell and Grove Salyer.

She was a graduate of St. Catharine Academy and attended St. Catharine College, was a bookkeeper at Haydon Coal & Oil Co. for 57 years and was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church.

She is survived by three sisters, Josephine and Kathleen Abell both of Springfield and Sr. Jane Smith, OCSO of Wrentham, Massachusetts and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral mass will be conducted at 10:30 am Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at St. Dominic Catholic Church with burial in St. Rose Cemetery. A prayer service will be held at
7:00 pm Monday at Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home where friends may call from 4:00pm till 8:00 pm on Monday and again from 7:00 am till 9:45 am on Tuesday.
