Vincent J. Addonizio of Summit, N.J., passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on Dec. 9, 2011. Visitation will be on Tuesday, Dec. 13, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Paul Ippolito Summit Memorial, 7 Summit Ave., Summit, N.J. The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 14, at 10:45 a.m. at St. Teresa of Avila Church in Summit, followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, N.J. For further information, visit ippolitofuneralhomes.com. Vince was born in Newark, N.J., and lived in Summit since 1969. A Bronze Star Army veteran of World War II, where he served in the Pacific and Europe, he received his B.S. in engineering from Oregon State and M.S. in engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology. Vince worked for 39 years in engineering management at Western Electric, Bell Labs, AT&T and Lucent Technologies. He was an avid sportsman in his youth. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, reading and most of all, time with his family. Vince is survived by his devoted wife, Anita (Dillon); his beloved daughter, Gloria and her husband, Kevin Vicha; his precious grandsons, Aiden and Dillon, and his dear sister, Gloria. He was predeceased by five brothers. Donations may be made in his memory to the Dominican Nuns, Monastery of Our Lady of the Rosary, Summit, N.J.
