He was the husband of the late Kathleen (O'Connor) Allegrezza who died in Falmouth, Massachusetts on December 1, 2013 they were married in May of 1954.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts the son Settimio “Samuel” & Quirina “Rena” (Baldelli) Allegrezza.

He was a U.S. Army Air Corp Veteran of World War Two having served in the Asiatic and Pacific Theatres in Burma.Nello A. Allegrezza, 95, of East Falmouth and formerly of Milford passed away on Sat. Dec. 8, 2018 at the Norwood Hospital, Norwood. He was the husband of the late Kathleen M. (O'Connor) Allegrezza who died in 2013.

Mr. Allegrezza was a devoted and beloved science teacher at Milford High School for 36 years before retiring in 1990. Nello also was a lifelong student, exploring and studying the natural world with childlike wonder.

Nello was born in 1923 in Lowell the son of the late Sentinio and Quirina (Badelli) Allegrezza and was a graduate of the former Mendon High School. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from Clark University, Worcester and one of his Master's Degrees in Chemistry from WPI, Worcester and had also attended Bowdoin College in Maine and Ressselaer Polytechnic.

Mr. Allegrezza was a WW II veteran serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre in Burma.

In retirement in Falmouth, Nello devoted himself full time to horticulture and artwork in wood. Ever the scientist, Nello delighted in propagation, sending every visitor home with plants. Nello's greatest joy was when Seatucket was bustling with family.

Mr. Allegrezza is survived by his children, John N. and his wife April Allegrezza of Westwood, Christina M. Allegrezza of Falmouth, and Damian P. Allegrezza of Canton; a son-in-law, Daniel E. Breen of Millis, one sister, Rosalba Domsky of Milford; 5 grandchildren, Nicholas Breen, Lucas Breen, Molly Breen, Jonathan Allegrezza and Matthew Allegrezza; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter Patricia Breen, two brothers Aldo Allegrezza and Anthony Allegrezza, and two sisters Virginia Cervassi and Eleanor Alluzio and a grandson, Patrick Breen.

Visiting hours will be Thursday Dec. 13, 2018 from 5 – 8 PM in the Buma – Sargeant Funeral Home, 42 Congress St., Milford.

Funeral services will be Friday Dec. 14, 2018 at 10 AM from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 7 East Main St., Milford. Military honors will follow.
