Mrs Alice L Henry, wife of Jacob Henry, of North Street, died Wednesday, September 17, 1913 at 11:45am from a complication of diseases, after an illness of four weeks. She was aged 55 years, 6 months, and 6 days.

The deceased was a daughter of Philip and Amanda Sterner, late of West Manheim Twp and Hanover. She was born in Adams County and in 1878 was married to Jacob Henry.

The deceased is survived by her husband and 13 children as follows: Mervin Henry, High Street, Charles Henry and Mrs Ernest Zinneman, North Street, Merlin Henry High Street, Melvin Henry George Street, Paul Henry, Poplar Street, Mrs Emanuel Wolford jr., Pleasant Street; Mrs Clarence Hardeman, Columbia; Mrs Ralph Biddle, George Street; and Helen, Earl, Horace, John and Robert Henry, at home. Also by four sisters; Mrs John H Little and Mrs O I M Houck, High Street; Mrs Robert Stauffter, York Street; and Mrs Edward Shanefelter, Second Avenue, and 2 brothers, Emory Sterner, York, and John Sterner, Springs Avenue.

Funeral Saturday, September 20, 1913, brief services at the home at 1:30pm. Further services in the Forney-Bittinger Memorial Chapel, Mt Olivet Cemetery. Rev J W Glover of the M E Church officiating.
