Susan passed peacefully into eternal life at home at age of 71. She has joined her loving father who preceded her in 2007.
Susan graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School in 1965. She was a passionate and accomplished horse rider. Later Sue took up golf and loved every minute on the course.
She served with the U.S. Army Reserves/National Guard attaining the rank of Captain. She was employed by the Defense Mapping Agency in Kansas City and later with the National Geo-Spacial Agency as a cartographer until retirement.
Susan leaves behind her loving mother Clara Petty, sister Linda Petty, two sons: Stephen Ziegler (Erin) and Jason Ziegler. Four grandchildren: Kaylee, Chloe, Brianna and Kyndra along with two nephews Scot DeVaney and Mac Mackay.
