Nancy E. Coleman, 63 of Guilford, CT passed away November 16, 2018.

Nancy was born December 9, 1954 to the late James J. and Mary (Fleming) Coleman, formerly of Guilford.

Nancy graduated from Guilford High School in 1972, Middlesex Community College in 1975 and Quinnipiac University in 1989 with a B.S. Degree.

She had a long career at Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield in North Haven before working in the North Branford School System and at Branford Hall. She was employed most recently at CT Orthopaedic in Wallingford.

Nancy was an active volunteer at St. George Roman Catholic Church for many years and was a lector, a Eucharistic Minister and was involved in the CCD program.

Nancy was drawn deeper into her Catholic faith by joining the Lay Fraternities of St. Dominic. In spring, 2018, she made her first set of promises as a Lay Member of the Order of Preachers.

She is survived by her brothers and their families, Michael and Kathy Coleman of Wallingford, Thomas of Portland, CT, William (Bill) and Jenni of Suwanee, GA and John and Cindy Coleman of Plantsville.

She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother Robert.

Friends are invited to attend calling hours at Hawley Lincoln Funeral Home, 1315 Boston Post Road, Guilford from 9:00 – 10:30 on Wednesday, November 28. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. George Church, 33 Whitfield Street, Guilford, followed by a prayer ceremony at St. George cemetery.
