Uvalda - Mr. Freddy Wolfe, age 71, of Uvalda, died Thursday, December 6, 2018, in Meadows Health in Vidalia, after a sudden illness. He was a native of Toombs County where he lived there most of his life, and has lived in Uvalda for the past nine years. He was a 1964 graduate of Vidalia High School, and was a lifelong supporter of Vidalia athletics. Freddy was a U.S. Air Force veteran during the Vietnam Era and was stationed in the Panama Canal Zone. He was in building and construction most of his life, and founded Faith Builders in 1994. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Vidalia for sixty years, and was a member of the Cleo Auld Sunday School Class.

Freddy was preceded in death by his father, Fred Walstien Wolfe.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Paula Wolfe of Uvalda; three children, Robyn Wolfe Belote of Dublin, Neal Wolfe and wife Jennifer of Vidalia, and Shai Wolfe Hobbs and husband Jody of the Five Points Community; his mother, Gloria Jean Wolfe of Vidalia; three sisters, Carole Wolfe Clifton and husband Carol of Savannah, Joyce Wolfe Walden and husband James, and Dianne Wolfe, all of Vidalia; one brother, Victor Wolfe of Lyons; eight grandchildren, Kailey, Abby, Kate, Mary-Claire, Madaline, Meeghan, Jace, and Hadley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Monday, December 10th at 3:00 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church of Vidalia with Reverend David Blalock, Reverend Jim Smith, and Jose Caraballo officiating. Burial will follow in the Pinecrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 5:00 until 8:00.
