Lois G. House, 94, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Carriage Hill Nursing Home with her loved ones by her side. She was born July 10, 1924 and was a lifelong resident of Stafford County.
Mrs. House was a devoted and faithful servant to God and will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and aunt.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Earl “Ralph” House; sister Kathleen Housh; daughter Ida Griffis; grandchildren Juanita Wiltshire (Dale), Jim Griffis (Robin), Shelly Crawford (Frank), Sherry Countryman, Margaret Ball (Tom), Linda Gould (Gerry), and Mark Chaffee (Ellen); 15 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her mother Virginia Davidson Littleton, father Owen Davidson; sister Virginia Evelyn Perks, brother Owen G. “Buddy” Davidson Jr.; daughter Lois Brinlee, son Ralph Chaffee; grandson Paul Griffis; and great-grandson Hunter Griffis.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 12 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends an hour prior at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
