Services for Jimmie B. Sanders, age 97, of Gleason, TN will be held Monday December 10, 2018 at 2pm at Williams Funeral Home of Gleason. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 4-7pm at Williams Funeral Home of Gleason. It will resume Monday at 12pm and go until time of his funeral service.
Mr. Sanders is survived by his wife, Virginia Sanders, of Gleason, TN. He is also survived by four children; Beverly (Tony) Damesworth of Gleason, TN, Shelia (Udell) Holmes of Dyersburg, TN, Jimmy (Martha) Sanders of Greenfield, TN, and Timothy (Denise) Sanders of Gleason, TN. Mr. Sanders leaves behind a sister, Mattie McCaslin, of Lexington, TN. He also leaves behind 15 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 18 great-great grandchildren.
Mr. Sanders was preceded in death by his parents, T.A. & Fannie Sanders, four sisters, Elease Williams, Katherine McCoy, Lessie Long, and Winnie Ellis, and four brothers, Thomas Alec Sanders Jr., Ira Sanders, Robert Sanders, and Elmer Sanders.
