Patricia Ann Trantham, age 58, of Callahan, passed away in an auto accident on December 7, 2018. She was born September 26, 1960 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Robert Patrick Trantham and Carol Helen Nulty. She grew up in Holly, Michigan and attended Holly High School. She was very proud of her Michigan roots. Patty has been a resident of Callahan since 2004 and prior to that spent several years in St. Mary’s, GA.

Patty was “The Leather Lady” and operated a store in the Pecan Park Flea Market for almost 25 years in addition to traveling to motorcycle rallies all over the country to sell leathers to the motorcycle community and make lifelong friends. She was very proud to be part of a multi-generational family of leather smiths and to have passed her love of leather to her son Jarred.

She had a very generous heart and was always willing to help anyone in the community that she could. She organized and participated in many charity events over the years. The number of people she has helped through her generosity is too many to list.

Patty was an avid motorcyclist and had traveled to many of our nation’s most beautiful places. She never met a stranger and will be missed by people all over the country. She was the life of the party, an avid poker player, a karaoke queen, and loved everyone as much as they loved her. She was a founding member of the Jacksonville Beaches Chrome Divas and will be dearly missed by her diva sisters.

Patty is survived by her loving son and light of her eye, Jarred Michael Trantham of Portland, Oregon; Brothers Stephen (Kathy) Trantham, Robert (Sandi) Trantham, Daniel (Sharon) Trantham; Sisters Kathy (Steven) Travis, Marg (Mike) Williams, and Helen Liz Clark; Special Aunt Marilyn Autrey; countless nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews that will miss their Aunt Party; and her beloved dogs Biscuit, Gravy and Casey.

A Celebration of Life, a Patty Party will be held at Flamingo Lakes RV Resort, 3640 Newcomb Road, Jacksonville, from 4pm to 7pm on Sunday December 23rd.

Patty died following a head-on collision along State Road 115 in Nassau County Friday night.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a 21-year-old man was driving on SR-115 near Bell Ln. when, for reasons unknown, he entered the lane of oncoming traffic. When he did, his vehicle hit Patricia Trantham's head-on, killing her.
