Karen Sue Tekell Cameron, age 69 of Archer City passed away Friday morning, December 7, 2018, in Lakeridge Nursing and Rebab in Lubbock, Texas.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 10, 2018, at the First Baptist Church of Archer City with Roger Deerinwater officiating. Interment will follow in the Archer City Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.
Karen was born October 22, 1949 in Wichita Falls, Texas to the late Luther Vernon Tekell and Mary Elizabeth Oliver Tekell.
She and Mike Cameron were married on August 14, 1993 in Archer City.
Karen was a Licensed Vocational Nurse and also worked in the restaurant industry. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Archer City. She enjoyed cross-word puzzles, playing the piano, hearing about her grandkids and spending time with her dear, sweet husband, Mike, who preceded her in death just one week ago.
Survivors include daughters, Penny Patel of Archer City, Texas and Barbara Caussey and husband, Chad of Trophy Club, Texas and Stacey White and husband, Jason of Shallowater, Texas; son, Scott McCully and wife, Marianne of Turner, Oregon; step-sons, Shannon Cameron of Archer City and Chris Erwin and wife Danita of Mineral Wells; step-daughter, Ranae Cameron Lane and husband, Cody of Brock, Texas; sister, Margaret Tressler and husband Carl of Wichita Falls; brother, Wayne Tekell of Wichita Falls; grandchildren, Reagan and Luke Caussey, Zachary, Macey, and Kayley Edwards, Blaze and Paris White, Miranda Patel and Kent Lauren, Ashley and Bailey Taylor, John, Destiny and Desiree Biggers, Sydney and Cameron Lane, Jordan, Izabella and Emmilyne Erwin and great-grandson, Mathew Lauren.
