She was a 1962 graduate of Alma High School and married Darrol Hunt in 1978. She worked as a sales clerk for JC Penney in Alma and Wolverine World Wide in Ithaca. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. Cheryl enjoyed bowling and collecting angels.
Cheryl is survived by her children, Darlene Whitman of East Lansing, Darren Whitman of Eagle, Danette (Brad) Martyn of Newberry; seven grandchildren, Darrol, Danella, Ally, Samantha, Remi, Travis and DeDe; one great-grandson, Bennett; three sisters, Sharwin (Jon) Martyn, Sharla (Joe) Tomko, Sharlene (Jeff) Stahl; a brother, LaVern (Joyce) Clark; brother-in-law, Bill Grossett; and her companion of many years, Jerry Woodrow.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Darrol Hunt in 1998 and a sister, Chanda Grossett.
Funeral services were held on Friday, December 7, 2018 at Seville Community Church of God with Pastor George Showers officiating. Interment followed in Richland Township Cemetery.
