Dearly loved by all who knew her, Maud Moyle McCune left his earth December 5, 1989 at St. Joseph's Villa.
She was born February 27, 1903 in Provo, Utah to Katherine Kirkwood and Judge Alfred E. Moyle. She married Paul Jones Mccune in Salt Lake City, Utah on January 29, 1921. He died March 5, 1982. Maudie worked as a branch manager for Western Union Telegraph for 40 years. She was a member and officer of the Business and Professional Women's Club, Salt Lake Garden Club, and the Bonneville Knife and Fork Club. As a member of the LDS Church, she resided in the Highland Park and Monument Park II Wards for many years. Maudie loved life and her wonderful mind and sense of humor welcomed her into many different social groups.
She is survived by her daughter, Janice McCune Romney, son-in-law Melbourne Romney, Jr.; grandchildren, Melbourne Romney, III, Paula Romney Fair, Antoine Moyle Romney, Rosslyn Hope Romney; eleven great-grandchildren, one sister, Katherine M. Cothren, El Cerrito, California. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Thomas Alfred McCune, one brother and one sister.
Funeral services will be held Friday, 12 Noon, December 8, 1989 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive, where friends may call on Friday one hour prior to services. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to St. Joseph's Villa 475 East Ramona Ave., SLC, UT 84115.
