Anna was born on July 9, 1928, in Fort Worth, Texas where she lived for most of her life. She was the youngest of six children and grew up on the southside of Fort Worth. She graduated from Paschal High School in 1948. It was there that she met her husband, Jim Claunch. The two married on June 3, 1950, in Fort Worth. Shortly thereafter, Jim was commissioned in the U.S. Navy. They lived briefly in Washington D.C. in 1953 and then lived in Hawaii from 1954 to 1956, where Jim was permanently stationed while in the Navy. After Jim graduated from law school, the two returned to Fort Worth in 1960, where she raised two sons, Kyle and Kirk. Later in life, she fulfilled a promise to herself to finish her college studies which she began after high school. She graduated from Texas Wesleyan University in 1987 with a bachelor's degree. Beginning in 1987 until her death, Anna worked with her husband as the business manager of his law firm. Her sons, Kyle and Kirk, both became attorneys and joined the firm. She felt very blessed and thankful to have the opportunity to work with her husband and sons every day. In spite of all of the hard work, she loved every minute of her time at the firm with Jim, Kyle and Kirk. Anna was very devoted to her family and enjoyed the love and attention of her five grandchildren. She enjoyed watching all of her grandchildren grow up making it a point to attend as many school and sporting events as possible. She was very proud of her family. She leaves a family who loves her dearly and will miss her very much.
