Pastor Phillip Cook of Temple passed away Thursday, December 6, 2018. He was born in Orlando, Florida, July 6, 1965, son of Mable Williams Cook and the late William Loyd Cook. Pastor Cook was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Temple and was the Pastor of the church for the past seventeen months. He was a true man of faith, a preacher for twenty years, was loyal to God, church and his family. He was a devoted husband of thirty-five years and a loving father.
Survivors include his wife, Candice Michelle Chambers Cook; children, Levi and Aundrea Cook of Temple, Lee Cook of Roswell; his mother, Mable Cook of Temple; a sister, Diane Woods of Douglasville, a brother, Frank and Tona Cook of Bremen; a sister-in-law, Connie and George Byroad of Athens, TN and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Saturday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM.
Services will be Sunday, December 9 at 2:00 PM from the Faith Baptist Church with Brother Brad Walker and Brother Clay Pawley officiating. Music will be furnished by the church choir and Reba Walker. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Brother Tommy Berry, Brother Cliff Sanders, Brother David Smallwood, Brother Frank Parr, Brother Olin Wiggins and Brother Ronnie Robinson. Interment will follow in Faith Baptist Church Cemetery
