James J. Kearns,78, of Barnegat passed on Monday, October 29, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Freehold, NJ he is a US Navy Veteran.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 37 years, Sandra (Pieri) Kearns; his loving son, Patrick and wife Jillian Kearns; three cherished grandchildren, Abigail, Sean and Erin; three nieces and a nephew, Donna Villane, James Breese, II, Janice Zanchuk, Karen Carsley and their families; brother-in-law, Robert Pieri and wife Patricia and family. He was predeceased by his sister, Elizabeth Breese; his brother, Joseph Kearns.

Viewing Thursday, November 1, 2018from 5 to 8 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ. Mass will be offered Friday 11 AM at St. Mary of The Pines Church, Manahawkin, NJ followed by military honors. Cremation private. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (www.pancan.org).
