September 27, 1916 - September 18, 2004

Mr. Brewington passed away Saturday, September 18, 2004 at the age of 87. He was a Christian, good husband, fahter, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a Member of hte CHurch of God Worship and Ministry Center of Lebanon, where he was very active in devoted service. He was employed with Dupont for 29 years, was a tiller of the soil, taught grandsons to hunt and fish and was a good storyteller. Mr. Brewington is survived by wife of 68 years, Kathleen Brewington of Lebanon; daughter, Jean ( Denny) Bottorff of Nashville; son, Curtis (Sue) Brewington of Charleston, South Carolina; sister, Stella Belcher of Lebanon; grandchildren Vickie Bush, Becky (Brian) Price, Steve (Julie) Reynolds, Christie (Nathan) Baird, Cathy (Barry) Kincer, Mary (Kurt) Duncan, Matthew (Michelle) Brewington, Todd (Jennifer) Bottorff and Chadwick (LeAnne ) Bottorff; great grandchildren, Michelle (Jeramey) Harrington, Serena Enoch, Jesse Bundy, Courtney Mauney, Katie Duncan, Marcus Duncan, Lauren and Jena Baird, Christian Brewington and RamseyBottorff; great great grandchildren, Brooklyn and Paige Harrington, Robert Jones and Haley Hollands. He is preceded in death by parents, Norman and Betty Bundy Brewington; daughter, Betty Sue Holden; infant son, Burton Lee Brewington; brothers, Alonzo Brewington, Arthur Brewington, Hubert Brewington and Julius Brewington Jr.; sisters, Bessie McClendon, Clara Morgan and Mary Lou Gulley. Services will be 1 pm, Tuesday September 21, 2004 at Sellars Funeral Home with Bro. Gordon Lee officiating. Visitation will be Monday, 4 to 8 pm and Tuesday, 11 am til service time. Pallbearers will be Grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Nolan, Herbert Weir, Bill Cannon, Jerry Pruitte, Paul Tucker and the Prayer Warriors Sunday School Class. Interment will be in Hernitage Memorial Gardens. Mr. Jesse Brewington was loved by all who knew him.
