Ruth was born on December 3rd 1921 in McLouth, Kansas at home. She was the fifth child born to Eli and Lizzy Cain. She was born on her Dad’s birthday!
She was a graduate of McLouth High School. She was married to Leslie Pepper of Kansas City, Missouri, on October 26, 1942. After his death in 1982, she married Bernard Koffer of Independence, Missouri.
During her life she worked for Hallmark Cards as a quality control inspector, City Hall of Kansas City and after Leslie’s death, she worked for Highlight for Children as a Sales Manager of Kansas and Missouri. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church (Central) of Kansas City, Missouri and often did sewing for the Dorcus Society.
She was a Democrat and was involved in many party Endeavors. She was an accomplished organist and came from a musical family.
Both her husbands preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Williams; 2 granddaughters, Candace Williams and Melinda Williams; 2 great- grandchildren, Hannah and Thomas and many friends.
She was most of all a faithful and devoted wife and loving and nurturing mother and was known for kindness and loyalty. She was a good Christian woman and loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all her heart.
She went to join the Lord on October 22, 2018.
A Celebration of Life to be announced will follow. Burial will be at the Wild horse Cemetery, McLouth, Kansas.
