Pauline was born November 20, 1931, in O'Kean, Arkansas, to James R. and Nellie Shelton Dean. She married Donald Shoemaker on June 1, 1968, in Normal, Illinois. He preceded her in death in 2009.

She is survived by her children, Debra (Curt) Nord of Palm Harbor, Florida, Roger (Teresa) Shoemaker of Le Roy, Illinois, Gregory (Sharon) Shoemaker of Eldon, Missouri, and Ginger (Dr. Phillip) Geeding of Centralia, Missouri; grandchildren, Kaycee Shoemaker, Harley Shoemaker, Amy A. Geeding, and Phillip E. Geeding.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, and five sisters.

Pauline was a kind and peaceful lady. She had an immense love for Jesus, living a faith-based life. She provided childcare for many children, one at a time, so she could give her full attention to each. Most know her from her cooking. She could and would cook anything the family brought home; wild game, mushrooms, egg noodles, and strawberry pies were just a few of her wonderful dishes.

Pauline was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and devoted friend who will be deeply missed.
