He is survived by his wife, Violet, at home; one daughter, Pam Matteson of Beaverton; one son, Mel of Vancouver; one brother, Virgil of Richland, Wash.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Collins was born June 17, 1922, in Merrimak, Okla., and lived in Clark County since 1961. He enjoyed the outdoors and the coast.
A funeral will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel, with burial in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Columbian, Wednesday, June 4, 1997
