Mrs. Susan Crabtree Fleming, age 80, of South Hill died Thursday, December 6, 2018 at her residence. She was a retired employee of the state of Virginia having worked at the Virginia Welcome Center. She was also the widow Ivan Kenous Fleming.

She is survived by two sons; Anthony Ray Fleming of Laurel, MD and Carl Brandon Fleming of South Hill, eight grandchildren, one of which was a special grandson Billy Joe Bower and two great grandchildren. She was also predeceased by three sons; Roy Allen, Tommy, and George Bower and a daughter Barbara Sue Bower.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 15, from 12pm to 1pm at Jehoash Presbyterian Church in Catlett, Virginia, founded by her late father Rev. George W. Crabtree. A graveside service will follow nearby at the Catlett Methodist Cemetery. Her sons Tommy and George, recently passed and cremated, will be interned with their mother at the same time and location.
