When Barbara Lorraine Erhart was born on January 5, 1940, in Burlingame, Kansas, her father, George, was 31 and her mother, Lorraine, was 18. She married E.W. Steele on October 31st, 1959, in Topeka, Kansas and they had one daughter together in 1960. They were divorced in about 1977. She then married Marvin Edwin Koch on April 2, 1985. She had one sister and a half brother. Barbara Lorraine Erhart died on December 2, 2018, in Rolla, Missouri, at the Phelps County Regional Medical Center when she was 78 years old. She was buried at the Meramec Hills Memorial Lawn in Cuba, Crawford, Missouri, USA, on December 7, 2018.

Barbara Lorraine Koch of St. James, Missouri passed away Sunday, December 2, 2018 at the Phelps County Regional medical Center in Rolla, Missouri. Barbara was born on January 5, 1940 in Burlingame, Kansas to the late George and Lorraine (Little) Erhart.

Miss Barbara Earhart was united in marriage to the late Marvin Koch, this union was joined with one daughter. Barbara was a care taker her entire life was devoted to nursing. She retired from the Missouri Veterans Home in St. James. She was a longtime member of the St. James Christian Church; she enjoyed doll collecting, yard sales, antiquing, and spending time with family and friends. Barbara was also an animal lover of all animals, but especially her dog.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Theresa May and son-in-law, James, of Moberly, MO; grandchildren, Kayla, Sheena, and Robert Wilson; brother, Michael Seeley, and sister-in-law, Pam, of Lebanon, MO; sister, Georgia Seelbach, of Topeka, KS; step-sons, Steven Koch and friend Monica, of Cuba, MO, and David Koch and wife Carla, of Columbia, MO; step-granddaughter, Devin Koch, of St. Louis, MO; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents George and Lorraine Erhart, and her Husband Marvin.

Funeral service for Barbara Lorraine Koch will be Friday, December 7, 2018 at 11:00AM at the St. James Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary with Pastor Alan Wynn officiating. Internment will follow at the Meramec Hills Memorial Lawn in Cuba, MO. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the Chapel prior to the service from 10AM until service time. Memorials are suggested to the St. James Animal Shelter, cards are available at all James & Gahr location.
