Virginia Ann Ballew Greene of Marietta, passed away November 29, 2018. Funeral services were held in the chapel of Marietta Funeral Home with Dr. Bill Ross officiating. Burial was in Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery.
Virginia Ann Greene was born in Fairmount, Georgia August 31, 1927 to parents O.C. and Velma Ballew. Virginia’s family moved to Marietta, Georgia in 1944 after her father left his barbering business to sign on with Bell Aircraft. Virginia Ann graduated from McEachern High School in 1945 going on to attend and graduate West Georgia College. She then began a lengthy career as an Executive Secretary working first in Atlanta and then Marietta.
Virginia is survived by her husband of 71 years Charles W. Greene of Marietta; sons Michael (Peggy) Greene, Brian (Joyce) Greene, Mark (Siobhan) Greene; grandsons Kenneth, Nicholas, Joshua, Graham, Charles, Andrew, William, Daniel Greene and Bryce Young; granddaughter Sarah Corbridge; 22 great-grandchildren; brother Lanier Ballew of Carrollton, GA and many nieces and nephews.
