Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Apfel Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. David Clark officiating. Burial will in Cedarview Cemetery at Doniphan.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the family.
Donna was born May 24, 1937, in Grand Island, the daughter of Kenneth and Mary (Hancock) Carpenter. She grew up in the area and attended Grand Island Public Schools.
On March 25, 1974, she was united in marriage to Earl Lavern Shehein in Grand Island. The couple resided in Doniphan and she owned and operated her business, Donna’s Fashions, in downtown Grand Island.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time playing bingo and cards, and going on gambling trips.
Survivors include her grandson, Jonathan Shehein; and a great-granddaughter, Olivia.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl; and her daughter, Denise.
