Lucille and Jack moved to Roswell, New Mexico that same year. They moved so Jack could pursue a career in education and Lucille blossomed as she became a mother to a daughter, Carolyn, and a son, Stan as well as becoming the secretary to the manager of an oil company (MALCO). Lucille also served as the Sunday School Secretary for the First Baptist Church in Roswell. After Jack passed away in 1977, she moved with MALCO to Albuquerque and in1999 moved to New Braunfels. Lucille wanted to be near family and play Bridge. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in New Braunfels.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Lorene and Nina and brothers Leon and Melvin. She is survived by her brother Dr. Lowell Smith and wife Gloria of Easley, South Carolina; daughter Carolyn Keas and husband Jim of New Braunfels Texas; son Dr. Stan Cox and wife Cheryl of Omaha, Nebraska.
Lucille is also survived by her grandchildren, Mike Keas and wife Susan of New Braunfels, Texas; Chad Keas and wife Becky of Ft Worth, Texas; Joseph Cox and wife Michelle of Omaha, Nebraska; Kimball (Cox) Vredeeld and husband Kevin of Omaha, Nebraska; great grandchildren: Brandon, Brooklyn, Cole, Drew, Joshua, Kaden, Leah, Ryan, Travis and Tressa; and great-great granddaughter Hadassa (Haddie); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lucille will be laid to rest at South Park Cemetery in Roswell, New Mexico.
