Mary Lee McCullom Dotson, age 75, of Columbia, passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Mary was born on October 18, 1943, in Columbia, Tennessee to Sam and Dorthy Hyle McCullom. She was a hard worker at whatever she did. She worked in the textile industry for several years, and later was the owner of Big Eye Electronics, retiring in 2008. She was of the Baptist faith.

Being very involved in the lives of her grandchildren she enjoyed spending as much time as possible with them, as she loved them very much. She loved all her family dearly. She was a wonderful cook. She loved and believed in music and its power, and was an avid organ player. She loved to fish anywhere.

She is survived by her children: David Fitzgerald of Columbia, Danny (Kim) Fitzgerald of Columbia, Donnie (Kimberly) Fitzgerald of Culleoka, Edward “Charlie” (Renee) Fitzgerald of Spring Hill and Melanie Dotson; sisters: Martha Wade of Jackson and Patsy Smithson of Columbia; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents: Sam and Dorthy McCullom; siblings: Sam “Sonny” McCullom, Linda Scott, Elizabeth Estes and Lewis McCullom; and great-grandson: Benjamin Thomas Fitzgerald.

Celebration of Life services will be held on Monday, December 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Bob Vassar officiating. The family will visit with friends on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m.
