Paul F. Moon
December 26, 1924 - October 12, 2015

Paul F. Moon passed from the temporal to eternal life on October 12, 2015, after a long illness. He was born on December 26, 1924, to Elmer and Emma (Stratton) Moon.

He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, received bachelor's and master's degrees from Marshall University, and had a long career in education, including thirty-three years in the Brevard County school system, serving as principal at Riverview, Apollo, and South Lake Elementary schools.

Paul Moon was a member of the Vero Beach First Church of the Nazarene, where he served in numerous positions of leadership and service. He was a master wood crafter and loved reading and travel, but the two things he held dearest were his faith and his family.

He will be dearly missed by his wife of 69 years, Betty (Jackson) Moon, by his son P. David Moon and his wife Pat, his granddaughters Jaclyn Moon and Jessica (Moon) Martin and her husband Zachary, and by his many nieces, nephews, and friends. His example of faith, love of family, and dedication to learning will live on for generations.

The family will receive visitors at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 16, at the Vero Beach First Church of the Nazarene, 1280 27th Avenue, with a service of remembrance and celebration at 11:00 AM.

Donations in Mr. Moon's memory may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene. Flowers are being coordinated by Vero Beach Florist.

Arrangements are under the care of Aycock Funeral Home, Fort Pierce, FL.
